200,000 Swifts in Lod Cave - Catching Up Part 2

The above video is from Lod Cave in December 2012. Everyday near sunset hundreds of thousands of swifts rush back into the cave for a huge orgy their night's sleep. The sky becomes so full of birds it makes one think of either Hitchcock's "The Birds" of of locust plague.

  1. They do look more like locusts in the video.. But they didn't look like that in real life, you could see the outline of the birds, they looked very elegant and the dived very swiftly :)
