The Deadly Melon is going to Eat YOU!

So after watching this video you would probably have some questions.

Who's the deadly melon?
Why is he pissed off?
How hungry is he?

and finally
...

WTF?

Flying to London and Frognector's Journey

To make reading this post more fun, you're welcome to start playing the video embedded here and keep on reading:

Time for the first update from London. Frognector's journey is now no less important than mine and I'll probably be updating it on Colnect's blog. I've just finished the first blog post about Frognector and you're most welcome to read it or at least see the pictures there which are really cool and will NOT be repeated.

But before London let's talk about the flight. Although I've decided to leave everything behind and knew it for a while now, I started packing at the last moment. As getting fashionably late to the flight make a traveler much cooler than others, I had to augment it by getting to the wrong terminal at the airport. While I ended up forgetting some unimportant things (traveler checks for example... oops), I didn't forget to leave a nice cutting knife in the shower bag which was in my handbag. Admittedly, I didn't plan on slicing anyone's throat and it's the first time I got something confiscated at the airport security checks. With all the hassle, I could still get some time to take pictures with Frognector:

So I already have much more to write but I wish to enjoy the sun, a pretty rare commodity here in London, before it's gone.

But before we finish, here's the deadly melon:

Farewell Party

The only real downside of traveling is that you won't be able to meet those close to you for a while. Luckily, Skype and other competing software somewhat alleviates that pain by enabling video conversations that can sometimes make us feel we're not that far away. When I went traveling seven years ago (damn, time's flying...) I installed Skype in small Internet places and connect my own headset and wished for a proper voice conversation. Actually, a good Internet place was one of the important comforts that would make me spend more time in a place. In such places I could talk to people I care for and upload backups of the oh-so-many pictures I was taking.

But this post is about the farewell party.

It was awesome!!!

Great people.

Great music.

Great vibe.

And the beach in the background complimented the ambiance.

Here are a few pictures not representing anything:

Only when the party was over I came to realize that I'm not going to see most of these people physically for a long while. Well, you're always welcome to come join me on parts of the journey :)
